General Toshevo

The village of General Toshevo is situated in the south-eastern part of Bulgaria, 45 km ( eastern) from the town of Yambol, at the foot of the Manastirski elevations. The first findings for the existence, in the official documents come into a Turkish traveller, Evlia Chelebi, in his book 'Putepis'.
The village of General Toshevo is established in 1700 – 1720 years. The first school was built up in 1811 . The construction of the church began in 1800 . And the church - ' Sveti Arhangel Mihail” was built in 1848 .
The village of General Toshevo is located in the Tundja municipality – the second largest municipality of Bulgaria. The inhabitants of the village of General Toshevo is about 470.
The Tundja municipality cover the western part of a region with administravive centre – Yambol and abuts upon the municipalities – Sliven, Straldja, Elhovo, Nova Zagora and Topolovgrad. The relief is flat and slightly hilly. The climate is temperate in the region. The following rivers: Tundja, Kalnitsa and Mychyritsa pass through the are of the Municipality. Mladovo – Bezmer canal for watering has been built , as well as a transport -derivation canal ' Ovcharitsa', and 65 artifical lakes irrigates Tracian lowland. The Manastirski elevations with abounding in pokcets of fines (granite) in the west are spread. In the east, among the field is situated the Haidouk Bakadjik. In the 'heart' of the minucipality Sveti Iliiski elevations are located.
